Permanent lip blushing and lip tattooing are semi-permanent cosmetic procedures that deposit pigment into the lips to enhance color, shape, and definition. Techniques range from soft tinting to defined liner; results fade over time and typically need touch-ups to maintain vibrancy.
Most clients enjoy color for one to three years before noticeable fading. Longevity depends on skin type, lifestyle, and pigment choice. Annual or biennial touch-ups refresh color. Proper aftercare and sun protection will help extend the lifespan of your results.
Lip neutralization balances and counteracts dark tones rather than completely removing pigment. Multiple neutralizing sessions may be required for significant correction. Once neutralized, we can apply a new tint to achieve an even, natural-looking lip color.
We use topical numbing to minimize discomfort, and most clients report only mild pressure or stinging. Sensitivity varies by person, but the process is generally well-tolerated. Your artist will monitor comfort and can pause or reapply numbing as needed.
Avoid blood thinners, alcohol, and aspirin for 48–72 hours prior. Hydrate well and avoid excessive sun or tanning. Bring reference photos of desired shapes or colors and disclose any medical history, medications, or allergies at your consultation.
Follow your aftercare plan: keep lips clean, avoid picking scabs, apply recommended ointments, and avoid swimming, saunas, and intense exercise for about a week. Expect peeling and color softening during healing; full results appear after complete healing and any touch-ups.
